| Captain's Quarters is the only place to rent Polaris PWC's within 250 miles. I have been renting Polaris PWC's since 1996. I also rent the newest PWC's, any unit that is sold is replaced with a new Polaris PWC! I have 8 Polaris PWC's available to rent. Our workhorse is the 700/95hp Virage and SLTH, all are three seat Polaris PWC's. I do keep 1 or 2 1200/135hp Virage Tx's available for my very best customers that have a perfect history of 5 rentals or more, with no scratches and no problems. I wish I could say yes to everyone that wants to rent a PWC. Because I am very concerned about, your safety, and I am also very concerned about the other boaters and swimmers on Johnson Lake, I say no to anyone that doesn't display commonsense, respect, understanding, and responsibility. On average, I say no to 30% of the people that ask to rent. I will not reserve a PWC over the phone unless you are one of my best customers. What do you need to rent? You must be 19 years or older. You need a valid drivers license. You can bring a lifejacket or rent one for $5.00. You must sign our lease agreement, listen and understand all oral instructions. Payment is cash unless you have an account with us. The cold hard facts about renting a PWC. I will explain the laws written by man to you, however I am more concerned about the laws of nature and the laws of physics. Laws written by man can be argued in a court room, the laws of nature and physics are exact every time and deadly with no time to argue. You can expect a 15 to 20 minute oral instruction about the laws of nature and physics, along with a diagram of the most common mistake made on a PWC. If someone hits you and it's their fault you can sue them for as much as you want, but you still owe me for my PWC. Bottom line, as long as you have my PWC you are responsible for it and you are also responsible for anyone riding with you! The actual number of days I am able to rent out of 365 days is less than 40 days, mostly due to cool or cold weather. What this means is everyone wants to rent on the same day you do and no one wants the other days, so if you want to rent come early. By noon on a hot day there is a wating line. What does it cost to rent a Polaris PWC? First hour is $100.00, for each additional hour it is $50.00 each, up to a total of 4 hours. If you need lifejackets they are $5.00 each. I have the PWC's in the water and full of fuel ready for you. When you return I fill the PWC with fuel and you pay for the fuel you used. You cannot take any rental PWC's off Johnson Lake for any reason. The biggest thing I try to stress is that no one plans to have an accident and it doesn't matter if you damage a PWC on purpose or accident it cost YOU the same to fix it! So if you damage one of my PWC's you can make up any story you want to tell me the cost to you is the same. Remember 1000 cabins circumvent Johnson Lake, and most have a phone, and most of the boats have a cell phone in them. A few of those people do not like PWC's. I hear about most anything you do before you can get back to the Marina. The Game Warden knows all my PWC's and I talk to him all the time about, saftey is more important than fun. So please be safe and have fun. Insurance is your responsibility and your cost. Physical damage only, cost $25.00 for $500.00 deductible and $50.00 for $250.00 deductible. I do place a dollar value to each Polaris PWC based on hours used and that amount is written on the lease agreement. That amount is the most you are responsible for. You can buy that PWC at any time for that amount. You can find those values on this web site under "used equipment". Any Polaris rental sold is replaced with a new Polaris this keeps our fleet as new as possible. All Polaris rentals I have sold are still running today! I won't sell you a bad PWC! I hope this information is helpful to you and answers any questions you have, if not please e-mail me or call me, I am Dave Yonker 308-785-2092. |
